Laughter and Dancing
Emily had a GREAT sense of humor. Some of her favorite movies include So I Married an Axe Murderer (WO-man), Tommy Boy, Waynes World, Waynes World II, Anchorman, Goonies, Little Shop of Horrors, Old School, and Wedding Crashers. Some less popular movies that she also enjoyed included Heavyweights, A Gnome Named Norm, Night at the Roxbury, Pat, and Baseketball. One of the biggest arguments I had with Emily involved which movie was superior - Waynes World I or II. I liked the original, whereas she thought the sequel was better (both are great!). A favorite activity of our family was to put on a funny movie when my Aunt Barbara was visiting as her laugh is sooo loud and funny that it's contagious! Emily loved bringing Aunt Barbara to the movie theater and watch as her laughter would cause the entire theater to be laughing to tears!
A great memory I have of Emily and I together was at my cousin's wedding. I had just entered college, and Emily was in high school. At the reception, the DJ started playing music, but NO ONE was dancing. Well Emily and I took it upon ourselves to make this reception fun, so we got out there and broke it DOWN! We even thought ahead and brought some glow sticks for the occasion (girl scout motto - always be prepared.) The DJ loved us so much, he would play anything we wanted. Emily and I know the entire dance scene in Waynes World II for the YMCA song, and we nailed it! Another favorite coordinated dance is to Apache (courtesy of Will and Carlton of Fresh Prince of Bel Air - watch it here). Some of our favorite dance moves include the fish hook, shopping cart, and sprinkler. Emily absolutely LOVED watching guys that could sucessfully perform the "seal" or "worm" dance. Anyway, needless to say, our dancing prompted the dance floor to become packed, and by the end of the night we had the grandma's breaking it down with the glow sticks.
I miss Emily so much, but sharing these stories of our great times together, always bring me a smile, as I hope they bring smiles and laughter to all who read them!

That's hilarious and I can totally picture the two of you dancing to the Apache on the dance floor at a family get-to-gether!
