Updates on Emily's Legacies.
Some wonderful updates:
Emily surely lives on and continues to inspire not only those who knew her, but also those who hear her story. We all love you Emily!
- Emily's plaque for her endowed scholarship was hung last week in the location in the Pamplin Building. For those of you at Tech, it's outside Pamplin 1045 - sometimes used for classes or presentations.

- Pamplin Magazine has run a story on Emily highlighting her wonderful life, sudden passing, and the wonderful support of her family and friends that lead to her endowed scholarship. The magazine can be found at http://www.pamplin.vt.edu/magazine/fall07.pdf I also posted a saved picture of the page from the magazine from the website, but if you can't read the text, visit the website to read the whole thing!

- Also, an absolutely AMAZING article was written about my mom organizing her trip to the Dominican Republic in Emily's memory. It's definitely worth reading - it has a bunch of really great pictures as well. It can be found at http://www.patersondiocese.org/page.cfm?Web_ID=2327

Thanks for letting us know about the plaque, Kate. I stopped by Pamplin one weekend earlier this fall when I was in town for football and combed thru every plaque in the building trying to find it. After 30 minutes I decided I was either blind or it just hadn't been hung yet. Glad it's the latter! I'll definitely check it out next time I'm in town.
