Long Overdue Post

I meant to send this long ago, but life has been a little hectic lately! But only in good ways... I am the Pledge Dad this semester for Emily's Coed Honor Fraternity, a position I know she would be proud of. I love being the role model for these kids as I had one of the greater role models myself for my first year. It's absolutely amazing how knowing someone not even an entire calendar year can make such a huge impact and influence in your life everyday, but she does..

A group of us went to her bench at the Duckpond on her birthday earlier this month after our fraternity's first night of rush. We brought flowers and Sara Stevens, Emily's pizza dance partner, bought a special present to leave there: Pesto :)

We split the bouquet of flowers up so that each person had a few flowers and then we just started sharing memories, moments and lessons learned one by one as we placed our flowers on the bench. It was hard yet comforting talking all about her again and hearing how she had influenced everyone's life.

I went back the next day in the daytime to take pictures of it all and low and behold the pesto was missing! (we had left the jar open on the ground..) I found it under a nearby tree, half eaten by those ducks. So here are just a few photos of her bench and the ducks nearby :)

Love to all, love you Em,
Little (Kate Wooldridge)
