Ohh Specs...

I recently just celebrated my 23rd birthday and somehow every birthday i am reminded of emily. She was the first birthday of the hall freshman year and even though she hadn't known anyone more than a week or so she let us in on the Beatles song tradition and somehow we already knew was special for we gave her a birthday to remember that year.

This year I got the best present when Ashley sent me something in the mail that arrived a day after my birthday. It was the mousepad that I made for Emily for Christmas 2003 for 2004 with a picture of us, a calendar of 2004, and the saying I'm in love with a Jersey Girl. I never thought that a silly mousepad would make me tear up like it did. Looking at the picture, the calendar, and knowing all the memories we shared over the years sort of overwhelmed me. I was surprised she kept it all these years and that Studd or Sam grabbed it out of the apartment.

specs, I will never truly understand why you were taken from this world from us so soon. However, over the past year and half you and your legacy have lived on inside so many people like you almost knew you were sent here for a bigger purpose.
