10 Things to do before you leave Blacksburg

Emily liked to make lists of plans or things to do! I saw the last list that Lindsey posted as a file on her computer titled "things to do". There was also a small list under it including foods she wanted to make including:

Cooking

  1. Crepe Night
  2. Mexican Night
  3. Italian Night
  4. Pot luck dinners
  5. Homemade Macaroni and Cheese
  6. Artichokes
  7. Grandma’s sauce
  8. Pesto
  9. Pierogies
  10. sesame chicken/fried rice
  11. Chicken Tajian
On a side note, I can't BELIEVE she had mexican night posted on there - we've been fighting for years about mom's mexican night. I LOVE mexican food, and she always hated it and made mom make mac n' cheese along with tacos. Since I grew up that way, I forever think of mac n' cheese and tacos as a good match together as I'm sure most people DO NOT! :-P

Also, there was another file in her documents titled "10 Things to Do Before You Leave Blacksburg". She really accomplished many of these things, along with countless others. I've never heard of anyone using their time on earth more effeciently than Emily. Even if she didn't plan ahead, she was spontaneous and could never waste "a beautiful day" as my mom wrote. Of course we could all learn from her attitude - I am inspired daily by it.
