CHESTER - Emily Carrigg Specchio died on Monday, May 15, 2006, at Morristown Memorial Hospital. She was 21.

She was born Sept. 3, 1984. in Morristown and resided in Chester all of her life.

She recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from Virginia Tech with a degree in marketing management.

She was a member of the Phi Sigma Pi honors fraternity.

She did mission work for two summers in the Dominican Republic and was a volunteer with the Appalachian Service Project. She had a love for the piano and the arts.

Survivors include her parents, John J. Specchio and Eileen Carrigg Specchio of Chester; and her sister, Kate Carrigg Specchio and her fiancé, Joe Barrlentos of Raleigh, N.C.

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, May 18, at 10 a.m. at St. Lawrence Church in Chester. Interment will be private.

Hours of visitation will be today, May 17, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Thursday, May 18, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at William J. Leber Funeral Home, 15 Furnace Rd., Chester, www.williamjleberfh.com.
