Emily's monument

On Wednesday, Emily's monument was placed at Pleasant Hill . We had it specially designed and carved by an Italian stone master from beautiful maroon/ruby colored granite (VT colors). As you can see, it is quite unique (like Emily) with a sunset breaking through the clouds and along with her name, the enscription "embrace that which defines you". It evokes life, color and beauty that defined Emily's life then and now. It "smiles" at you in true Emily fashion. I know she would be delighted with it and when you come it will feel like she is with you. As always, thank you all for all your thoughts and feelings.

With Love, PaPa Specs

  • That is absolutely beautiful.
I am continuously astounded at how strong and just amazing you all, her family, are. Although I shouldnt be because it makes sense as to where Emily got all her strength and beauty from. You are in my thoughts daily. I hope to see you soon. Take care PaPa Specs, Mom, Kate and the rest of your family.
